Hello Julian
I was wondering if you knew the answer to what became of Geoff Hunts Painting that was the original cover for treachery. My copy of treachery is a paperback and does not have it and nor is the painting on Mr Hunts art marine website.
I’m curious to why that painting is no longer used as it is such a wonderful piece like all of Geoff Hunts fine work.
I eagerly await the arrival of the next of your fine works Pasha sounds a brilliant subject and I’m sure the book will be above and beyond first rate.

Patrick – virtually all the paintings Geoff Hunt did for the Kydd Series covers were sold to private collectors after they were used as the basis for the covers although I believe Geoff kept one or two paintings for his own portfolio. As regards TREACHERY my publisher decided to go with a different look for the paperback than the artwork used for the hardback. This is not uncommon in the publishing world as fashions in book covers change over time. Do hope you enjoy PASHA – certainly quite a different book from CARIBBEE!

Hi this is somewhat of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or
if you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding expertise
so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience.
Any help would be enormously appreciated!
The whole thing depends on the quality of the host software. As always a little bit of effort on learning HTML coding is of considerable advantage but generally speaking you can make an acceptable blog by using the templates provided. Before you go public it would probably pay to get a knowledgeable person to cast his eye over the whole thing. It should be pointed out that in my candid opinion it’s the layout which is the most difficult – colours, matching attractiveness of the content and generally the artistic impression that the viewer will get that is much more important than coding. This is a judgement call and not all people have the gift.

Jim – TREACHERY was published in the US with the title “THE PRIVATEER’S REVENGE”. Apologies for any confusion.
Love the Kydd series but am disappointed that “Treachery/The Privateer’s Revenge” is not offered in the Kindle format. I have all of the others up to this one in Kindle format. Any plans to offer it in Kindle format in the US? Thanks – Bob
